Paste

This option is used to paste the cut or copied elements to the desired locations in the workspace.

Pasting Elements

  1. Select a single element or multiple elements (see the Cutting, copying, and pasting subsection of "Keyboard Navigation" or the Selecting Multiple Blocks subsection of "Mouse Navigation").

  2. From the Edit menu, select Cut to remove the selection from one location and paste it to another. Alternatively, you can select Copy to copy the selected elements to another location.

  3. Paste the elements to a single location or multiple locations.

To paste the selected elements to a single location (see the Pasting to a Single Location subsection of "Mouse Navigation"):

  1. Click the upper left-most element that matches the upper left-most element of the area that you cut or copied.

  2. From the Edit menu, select Paste.

To paste the selected elements to multiple locations (see the Pasting to Multiple Locations subsection of "Mouse Navigation"):

  1. Click the upper-left most element that matches the upper left-most element of the area that you cut or copied.

  2. Press and hold the <Ctrl> key while repeating step a, above, for each area to which you want to paste the elements. Make sure that the area to which you are pasting will not overlap.

  3. Release the <Ctrl> key.

  4. From the Edit menu, select Paste.
