1. Provide a volume and tone remote audio controller that shall support four mono analog line level or two stereo line level inputs, plus four mono analog line level or two stereo line level outputs, and be compatible with professional and consumer level audio systems.

      1. Input Requirements

         3. Shall provide a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz, measured at +/- 0.05 dB
         4. Shall provide three presets per channel for recall of input gain, volume, bass, and treble settings
         5. Shall provide input gain adjustment from -12 dB to +12 dB in 1 dB steps, adjustable per input
         6. Shall provide independent volume adjustment for each channel, from 100 dB to 0 dB in 0.5 dB steps
         7. Shall provide bass adjustment of +/- 14 dB, 100 Hz referenced to 1 kHz in 2 dB steps, adjustable per input
         8. Shall provide treble adjustment of +/- 14 dB, 10 kHz referenced to 1 kHz in 2 dB steps, adjustable per input
      4. Control Requirements
         1. Shall support bidirectional RS-232 on 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
         2. Shall support remote control operation via external control system using Simple Instruction Set commands sent over RS-232 on 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
         3. Shall support disabling of front panel controls to prevent inadvertent or unauthorized changes to configuration settings
      5. Front Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide a green LED for power indication
         2. Shall provide two channel selection buttons, each with two channels per button
         3. Shall provide green LEDs for indication of selected channels
         4. Shall provide a button for selecting between volume, bass, and treble adjustment
         5. Shall provide a front panel knob for independent volume, bass, and treble adjustment on each channel
            1. Shall provide volume adjustment in 0.5 dB steps
            2. Shall provide bass adjustment in 2 dB steps
            3. Shall provide treble adjustment in 2 dB steps
      6. Rear Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide four inputs, which can be mono or tied into stereo pairs, on 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
         2. Shall provide four outputs on 3.5 mm captive screw connectors
         3. Shall provide one bidirectional RS-232 port on 3.5 mm captive screw connector
         4. Shall provide four line level selector DIP switches, for selecting between +4 dBu for professional level audio systems and -10 dBV for consumer level audio systems
      7. General Requirements
         1. Shall provide energy-efficient external universal power supply with 2-pole captive screw connector
            1. Shall be universal in-line power supply with IEC power socket and support for international 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz standards
            2. Shall provide output of 12 VDC, 1 A, 12 watts
            3. Shall support use of optional Extron ZipClip™ 100 mounting kit
            4. Shall meet energy efficiency level V and bear the UL Environment Energy Efficiency Certification (EEC) Mark
         2. Shall be enclosed in a rack-mountable 1U, quarter rack width metal enclosure
         3. Shall meet regulatory compliances
            1. Shall meet safety compliances under CE, c-UL, and UL
            2. Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, C-tick, FCC Class A, ICES, and VCCI
            3. Shall comply with appropriate requirements of RoHS and WEEE
         4. Shall provide three years parts and labor warranty
