Output Volume

Each output channel VOL (volume) block provides two faders for the left channel and right channel, with the exception of the mono channels. These mono channels include the MTP output and the mono amp
(MLS 608 D MA) output. The output volume block for the MTP output channel and the mono amp channel have a single fader. Each volume fader control has a range of 0 percent (-100 dB) to 100 percent volume (0 dB, no attenuation), with a volume setting readout (in dB) below the fader. The default setting is 100 percent volume, unmuted.

See the Optimizing Audio Levels section for more information.

Adjusting Output Volume

You can adjust the output volume in 1 dB increments. Left-channel and right-channel Mute buttons independently mute the left and right channels to the stereo bus. Mono channels have a single Mute button. Channel mute is located post-fader, post-meter, and pre-DAC (digital to analog converter) so that when you mute channels, the signal is still represented visually in the meters.

You can set left, right, or mono channel polarity to positive (+) or negative (-), with positive polarity being the default.

Peak meters are located post-fader and pre-DAC (digital to analog converter). These meters display levels of
-60 dBFS to 0 dBFS, with a last-peak-level (peak hold) readout below each meter.

NOTE:  The meter readout fields display values only when in Live mode.

To adjust the fader level:

  1. Click the fader handle or click within the fader area.

  2. Adjust the level using any of the following methods:
