SSP 7.1

1. Provide a surround sound processor that shall support four digital audio inputs, one analog audio input, three stereo line level outputs, and two mono analog line level outputs for delivering up to eight channels of surround sound.

      2. Output Requirements
         1. Shall provide three stereo line level, balanced or unbalanced signals on three 6-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connectors for Front, Surround, and Back speakers
         2. Shall provide two mono line level, balanced or unbalanced signals on two 3-pole captive screw connectors for Center speaker and Subwoofer
         3. Shall provide the option to route stereo audio to all left and right speakers with or without surround sound processing
      3. Processor Requirements
         1. Shall automatically decode the detected incoming signal format as necessary, to route to the appropriate outputs
         2. Shall provide nine fully parametric EQ filters on each full range output, with +/- 24 dB of boost and attenuation, adjustable frequency, and adjustable Q
         3. Shall generate test signals, including band-limited Dolby noise and full-bandwidth pink noise, for calibration of sound pressure levels from all speakers and fine-tuning

      5. Configuration Software Requirements
         1. Shall provide PC-based configuration software allowing flexible setup and control of the surround sound processor, plus calibration of the sound system
         2. Shall provide a Live mode for real-time control of parameters without compiling and file uploading to the surround sound processor
         3. Shall provide an Emulate mode for offline configuration
         4. Shall provide setup and configuration of audio processing tools including, but not limited to: input tone adjustments (base and treble); dynamic compression range; analog input gain; master volume; parametric EQ filters; speaker delay; and output trim
         5. Shall provide up to 100 ms of adjustable signal delay for each input
         6. Shall provide up to 100 ms of adjustable signal delay for speaker distance compensation
         7. Shall provide the ability to select a test signal type and direct the signal to any connected speaker or all connected speakers in sequence
         8. Shall provide the option to select preferred listening modes
         9. Shall provide the option to override the primary decoded surround sound format with an alternate listening mode (via front panel only)
         10. Shall provide file saving in both Live and Emulate mode

      6. Control Requirements
         1. Shall support one bidirectional RS-232 port on one 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
         2. Shall support configuration via RS-232 on 2.5 mm mini stereo jack
         3. Shall support remote control operation via external control system using Simple Instruction Set commands sent over RS-232 on 3-pole, 3.5 mm captive screw connector
         4. Shall support disabling of front panel controls to prevent inadvertent or unauthorized changes to configuration settings
      7. Front Panel Requirements
         1. Shall provide Configuration port on 2.5 mm mini stereo jack
         2. Shall provide green LEDs for input source signal format indication
         3. Shall provide a button for selecting an alternate listening mode to use in place of the primary decoded surround sound format
         4. Shall provide green LEDs for listening mode override indication
         5. Shall provide discrete input selection buttons
         6. Shall provide green LEDs for indicating the selected input
         7. Shall provide a red LED for clip warning indication on analog input
         8. Shall provide a rotary encoder for output volume adjustment or analog input gain level adjustment

            2. Shall meet EMI/EMC compliances under CE, C-tick, FCC Class B, ICES, and VCCI
            3. Shall comply with appropriate requirements of RoHS and WEEE
