The UCS 601 is a Pro 4K USB‑C dock that connects a USB‑C laptop to an HDMI display and USB devices for use in Unified Communications spaces. The USB‑C input provides video/audio, USB data, and 60 watts of power from an internal power supply. Three USB peripheral connections support USB cameras or microphones. The HDMI output supports resolutions up to 4K and USB devices connect at rates up to USB 10Gbps. The unit can be mounted within furniture or under a table using the included ZipClip 200 mounting accessory. The compact one-quarter rack width 1” (2.5 cm) high metal enclosure can also be mounted in an equipment rack using an optional rack mounting shelf. The UCS 601 4K USB‑C Dock is ideal for Teams® and Zoom™ meetings in collaboration spaces wherever a full-featured Pro AV docking solution is needed.

With USB cameras, microphones, and other peripheral devices becoming more common in small meeting spaces, the ability to connect users' laptops to these devices has become critical to a successful meeting experience. The UCS 601 Pro 4K USB‑C Dock supports up to three USB room devices at rates up to USB 10Gbps while providing 5V, 900 mA power on one port and 5V, 500 mA power on the remaining ports. For additional flexibility, the UCS 601 features a rear panel switch to set the maximum HDMI output resolution and USB data rate between 4K/60 at rates up to High Speed (USB 2), and 4K/30 with rates up to USB 10Gbps. The UCS 601 unites traditional AV display content with USB peripheral devices into a single appliance, taking small collaboration spaces with local and remote users to a new level.

Intuitive Collaboration

The user-friendly UCS 601 is easy to use in BYOM spaces, including simple rooms without a control system. As the laptops are connected, the USB‑C dock will automatically connect each laptop to the room’s display as well as connect to USB cameras or other room devices for use in Teams or Zoom meetings. When a laptop is disconnected, the display will automatically go into standby mode, empowering users to collaborate intuitively, with minimal interaction with the AV hardware.

BYOM Convenience

Bring Your Own Meeting (BYOM) spaces offer collaborative spaces for local and remote users without the need for more complicated room setups that use dedicated computers, switching and control equipment. BYOM spaces can use USB cameras and microphones in conjunction with portable laptops brought by the users. A USB‑C dock allows users to operate USB-connected equipment in the room. These spaces are more convenient for users, less expensive to set up and maintain, and offer more flexibility. They also serve a dual function by operating as traditional presentation spaces when users want to present content locally and don’t need to run a UC meeting. BYOM spaces feature powerful and effective local and remote collaboration capabilities for today’s meeting and collaboration rooms.
