The Extron SSI 100 System Status Indicator is a versatile, multi-colored backlit indicator that can be used for a broad array of applications within nearly any environment. It brings visibility to room occupancy, activity, safety protocols, and dozens of other applications. The SSI 100 connects seamlessly to Extron control systems, calendaring systems, and room occupancy sensors, with no licensing required. The two-sided, acrylic lens, combined with the backlighting, blends simplicity with architectural appeal. In addition to blank wall and ceiling mount models, an optional lens allows customization with engraved text, such as a room name, classroom number, or company logo. Installation is simplified by using a single PoE cable for most applications.

A Range of Applications

The SSI 100 is ideal for use in a wide range of applications where at-a-glance status can enhance workflows. This includes environments such as studios, esports facilities, hot desking areas, meeting rooms, labs, instructional spaces, and command and control centers. For standalone applications, the SSI 100 indicates room status using an occupancy sensor without the need for additional software or Extron products. 

When integrated with Extron Pro Series Controllers, the SSI 100 operates in IP Link Secure Platform Device (SPD) mode, so it can be configured with Global Configurator or ControlScript software to communicate room status effectively. For Extron Room Scheduling and Wayfinding users, the engraved, illuminated SSI 100 adds further value by displaying room names and the status in bright green or red to indicate availability through direct calendar server communication using Room Agent software. Customers can also use the SSI 100 in Calendar Mode with the Wayfinding interface, thus avoiding the need to use a TouchLink Scheduling Panel. 

SSI 100 and the Room Scheduling Ecosystem

The SSI 100 is also an integral part of a complete Room Scheduling solution, offering a scalable solution for booking and managing spaces. The indicators work seamlessly with TLS scheduling panels and complement TLSI 201 wayfinding for enhanced navigation. Powered by Room Agent software for room status, the SSI 100 also integrates with Extron control systems for AV integration.

Broad Choice of Colors

The SSI 100 illuminated border color, as well as the optional illuminated engraved text or logo provides customized at-a-glance status of the space. Operating in calendar and digital input modes, you can select from green and red to indicate occupancy. When connected to an Extron control system, you have the freedom to customize the LED illumination with your choice of a broad range of RGB colors. Extron control also allows enhanced functionality, if desired, enabling colors to fade in and out, alternate, or blink on and off.

The SSI 100 engravable acrylic lens kit offers an easy and convenient way to customize text and symbols on your Indicator. With the dynamic System Status Indicator Builder tool, accessible via your Extron Insider login, you can design your lens with personalized text or symbols positioned within the layout, using one of our stylish font options. 

Once your design is complete, the System Status Indicator Builder generates a custom Extron 42- series part number for your engraved lens, along with a real-time lens preview, itemized bill of materials, and pricing summary. Custom engraved lenses must be ordered using the generated 42- series part number, instead of ordering parts 70-1348-01 or 70-1349-01, as these part numbers do not include your custom engraving.
