Extron Control System LinkLicenses are feature upgrades for a range of Extron control products. These LinkLicenses add a variety of capabilities to the AV system, such as enabling individuals to use mobile devices or computers as primary control interfaces in a system, adding IPCP Pro xi control processor capabilities to Pro Series touchpanels, and enabling additional virtual control processors on the VCA 100 Virtual Control Appliance. Control System LinkLicenses provide greater flexibility when designing, integrating, and using AV control systems.

LinkLicenses are software-enabled enhancements that allow you to easily upgrade Extron products. There are several types of LinkLicenses and each type unlocks a unique set of features and capabilities. With LinkLicenses, you can upgrade your system right out of the box or, over time, as your AV system demands grow.

LinkLicense for User Interfaces

This user interface upgrade is an easy way for people to use their mobile devices or computers as primary control interfaces. Systems using a standalone Extron IPCP Pro or IPCP Pro xi Series control processor, VCP – virtual control processor, product with embedded control processor, HC 400 Series systems, and select TeamWork® collaboration systems can all benefit from this upgrade. When LinkLicense for User Interfaces is combined with one of these products and the Extron Control App, BYOD room control is easier than ever. Simply open the App or Web browser and gain instant access to the room's AV. The intuitive, custom-built interface allows full control of source devices, sound, lighting - anything you can control with a standard touchpanel, but with the convenience of using your own device.

LinkLicense for TLP Control Processor

LinkLicense for TLP Control Processor provides system design flexibility by adding IPCP Pro xi Series control processor capabilities to TLP Pro 525 Series, TLP Pro 725 Series, TLP Pro 1025 Series, or TLP Pro 300M touchpanels. This LinkLicense® enables Ethernet control of AV devices directly from the touchpanel. It also works with the optional TLCA 1 TouchLink Control Port Expansion Adapter. When connected to the touchpanel, the TLCA 1 adds traditional control ports such as bidirectional serial ports, a digital input, an IR port, and relays.

LinkLicenses for Additional VCPs

The VCA 100 Virtual Control Appliance, with its integrated Virtual Control Processors - VCPs, helps organizations easily deploy, scale, and manage their AV systems by hosting AV control resources in a central location. An entry-level VCA 100 includes five VCPs and these LinkLicenses can be used to enable up to a total of 50 VCPs. Four LinkLicenses are available to support scaling the system in increments of 1, 5, 10, and 25 virtual control processors.
