Extron IR Learner™ Pro is a Windows®-based software utility that captures infrared codes from IR remotes and creates custom drivers for controlling IR devices. It is designed for use with Extron IP Link® Pro control processors that feature a built-in IR capture port, such as IPCP Pro control processors and the IPL Pro IRS8. IR Learner Pro makes it easy to establish communication with Extron IR learning hardware by using a TCP/IP connection.

In addition to creating new drivers, IR Learner Pro can be used to modify an existing driver. IR Learner Pro makes it easy to add to the function list for a particular device type and to remove functions previously assigned to a device driver. Once a driver has been created or modified, it can be saved to the PC and uploaded to any Extron controller or control processor on the network that includes an IR port and accepts .EIR files. IR Learner Pro is offered to dealers at no cost and can be downloaded from the Extron Web site.
