1. Provide a video scaler that shall support one input with a buffered loop through, and up to two outputs with a genlock loop-through for processing and converting between 3G-SDI, HD-SDI, and SDI video resolutions and frame rates.

      1. Video Input Requirements
         1. Provide video input connection
            1. One BNC for 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI
         2. Support 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI signals up to 2.97 Gbps and comply with SMPTE 259M, 292M, 424M, and ITU standards
         3. Support pixel level synchronization of video sources to an external genlock signal
         4. Provide automatic detection of input video parameters
            1. Determine total pixels, active pixels, active lines, H/V starting points, H/V image positions, H/V image sizes, and video clock phase
            2. The user may selectively enable or disable automatic detection
         5. Provide image adjustments for brightness, contrast, detail, H/V positioning, and sizing
         6. Provide storage and recall of video parameters and picture settings
            1. Automatic memories for each video input
               1. Save video settings and picture adjustments without user intervention
               2. Automatically recall settings when the same video rate is encountered
               3. The user may selectively enable or disable automatic memories

      2. Video Output Requirements
         1. Provide video output connections
            1. Two BNC for 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI
            2. One BNC for buffered 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI input loop-through
         2. Provide a range of selectable video output rates from 480i and 576i to HDTV 1080p/60 and 2K
         3. Provide equalization for incoming 3G-SDI signals and reclocking on buffered loop-through
         4. Provide image scaling and video format conversion at 30-bit precision and support 1080i deinterlacing
         5. Provide aspect ratio control
            1. When in FILL mode, the video image shall always fill the output screen without letterbox or pillarbox
            2. When in FOLLOW mode, the video image on the output screen shall always preserve the aspect ratio of the input signals without distortion
         6. Support locking of the output frame rate to the frame rate of the input
         7. Provide internal test patterns for calibration and setup
         8. Support image freeze via RS-232 or USB connection
         9. Support automatic muting of video and sync output when no video input signal is present
            1. Provide a choice to generate a blue screen or a black screen before disabling sync
            2. Provide a configurable timeout period before disabling sync
            3. The user may selectively enable or disable automatic muting of sync output
         10. Provide a low power standby state selectable via RS-232 or USB
      3. Audio Requirements
         1. Provide audio input connections
            1. One BNC, SDI embedded AES3 audio
            2. One 5-pole captive screw, balanced/unbalanced line level analog stereo
         2. Provide audio output connections
            1. Two BNC, SDI embedded AES3 audio
            2. One 5-pole captive screw, with output level control and configurable for balanced/unbalanced line level analog stereo or dual mono
         3. Support embedding of analog audio input signal onto the SDI outputs
         4. Support extraction of any pair of AES audio channels to the analog stereo output, or pass any pair of AES audio channels or all AES audio channels to the 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI outputs
         5. Provide a delay in the audio output to match the corresponding video processing delay
         6. Support individual muting of the analog stereo or 3G-SDI/HD-SDI/SDI audio input
         7. Provide gain and attenuation adjustments for analog input audio
      4. Control Requirements
         1. Provide control connections

         1. Provide real-time verification of input and output signal format, presence, and power

         3. Shall be equipped with an internal 100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz universal power supply
         4. Shall meet regulatory compliances
