Ethernet Controllable Devices Supported
The maximum number of devices that can be controlled over TCP/IP via a device driver.
Bidirectional RS-232, RS-422, RS-485
A Port supporting all of of these serial communication standards.
Bidirectional RS-232
RS-232 is an interface to aid serial binary data exchange between two devices. It is a serial control standard with a set data rate, number of conductors, word length and type of connector to be used. This is used for relatively short-range communication.
Configurable IR / Serial
A port that can be configured for the playback of an IR file or unidirectional RS-232.
IR
Infrared communication signal used for one way control of devices such as projectors.
Flex I/Os
A port that can be configured either as a digital input, digital output, or analog input.
Digital Inputs
A port that is used to sense a high or low, such as a switch closure. Can also be used to monitor a sensor.
Digital Inputs/Outputs
Configurable digital I/O ports used to interface with control systems, sensors, or external devices.
Relays
An electrically controlled device that opens and closes electrical contacts to effect the operation of other devices in the same or another circuit.
Switched DC Power Ports
These are direct current, independently switched 12V power outputs that the can be controlled remotely.
eBUS
Extron’s integration friendly technology which is based on a unique digital bus
architecture that allows for easy control system expansion, greater design
options, and future upgrades
Remote Volume
Control port for select MPA Series and XPA Series amplifiers
AV LAN
Port that allows AV devices to be isolated from the corporate network.

Integrated IR Learner
A component present on many Extron devices for use with IR Learner™ software to capture infrared codes from IR remote controls to create custom drivers for operating IR-controlled devices.
Ethernet
A Local Area Network (LAN) standard officially known as IEEE 802.3. Ethernet and other LAN technologies are used for interconnecting computers, printers, workstations, terminals, servers, etc. within the same building or campus.

GVE - GlobalViewer Enterprise Support
Global Viewer Enterprise Support – Device may be controlled, monitored and scheduled via Global Viewer Enterprise.
Power Supply
PoE Support (802.3af)
Power over Ethernet allows a device to receive power and control over a single CAT 5-type cable, eliminating the need for a local power supply.
PoE+ Output
Provides power and communication to supported devices, including TouchLink Pro touchpanels and interfaces
