We are pleased to announce the opening of Extron's Middle East office in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. This new 12,000 square foot office, located in Dubai's Airport Free Zone, offers the full range of Extron customer services, including customer support, sales support, repair, shipping, and customer training. This new office enables Extron to ship products to our customers more quickly and cost-effectively from the on-site warehouse. In addition, the new S3 training center will be a convenient educational resource for AV professionals throughout the region.
The grand opening attracted 140 visitors from many Middle Eastern countries. "After receiving a short presentation on the 25 year history of Extron and an overview of the facility's capabilities, our guests received a tour which included our S3 training facility, the sales office, the repair department and the logistic center." says Rainer Stiehl, Extron Vice President of Marketing, EMEA. Visitor reactions were very positive, with many people commenting on how glad they are to have a full-service Extron office within their territories. Some Guests even stayed for the next day to attend the inaugural Extron Institute within the facility's new S3 Training Center. During this two-day class people refreshed their knowledge of computer and digital video interfacing, system switching, signal processing, and matrix switching. "Due to the overwhelming response, we added another class that was also fully booked." Rainer said.
Previously, this region was served by Extron's European headquarters in The Netherlands. Now, customers in the Middle East can benefit from the convenience of common business hours and the enhanced accessibility to Extron products and services. They can expect the same Extron Service, Support, and Solutions they have come to rely on from Extron, with the increased efficiencies made possible by local facilities.
