The Extron SW2 DP is a two input, one output DisplayPort switcher. The SW2 DP is HDCP compliant and supports data rates up to 10.8 Gbps and computer resolutions up to 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz. It features EDID Minder®, which maintains continuous EDID communication with connected devices and ensures that the DisplayPort sources power up properly and maintain correct video output. The SW2 DP provides automatic input cable equalization up to 25 feet at 2560x1600 @ 60 Hz on Extron DisplayPort Series cable. Multiple control points, including front panel, RS-232, and auto-input switching, simplify integration into a variety of system designs. The SW2 DP switcher is ideal for applications that require the routing of two DisplayPort sources to a single display.
To enhance and streamline integration, the SW2 DP offers integrator-friendly features, including automatic input cable equalization, and indicators for monitoring and troubleshooting. Automatic input cable equalization restores and reshapes incoming signals, reducing the need for additional signal conditioning equipment by compensating for weak source signals or signal loss from a long input cable. Additionally, the SW2 DP provides immediate visual confirmation of EDID status, HDCP authentication, and signal presence for each port via LED indicators.
Housed in a 1U, half rack width metal enclosure, the SW2 DP can be mounted in a rack or installed beneath a desk. It includes an external, universal power supply for worldwide power compatibility.
