MediaLink® Systems

Extron has introduced a pre-designed systems approach to small room planning: MediaLink System Designs for classrooms and conference rooms. With these designs, we have removed the guesswork involved in mixing and matching compatible products — from wall plates and switchers to speakers and mounting options — while lowering the overall costs of a complete, turnkey system. Consequently, integrated audio-visual systems are easily linked together utilizing all the core elements — video, computer-video, audio, and control; all available from one convenient source: Extron.

Projector Switching Systems focus on minimal presentation system designs where the projector handles all signal source switching. The Extron MediaLink System WPB is our simplest presentation system design. Refer to it at the top of the Projector Switching Systems group. This design assumes that the projector has the quantity and type of source inputs that you need to display. The connectors on the projector and the WPB wall plate need to match the connectivity of your sources, such as a VCR/DVD, computer or laptop. The WPB system is effectively like a portable video projector installed in the ceiling with its input connector panel extended across the ceiling and down the wall to a point of interface you find convenient. MediaLink Switching Systems expand your video/audio capabilities in classroom and conference room presentation systems by handling all signal routing and audio amplification support via the separate MLS-MediaLink Switching System series of products. The MLS 304, MLS 406, and MLS 506 Series of switchers are capable of handling more source signals than most all projectors. Select the MLS solution when your requirements dictate additional video inputs and other features, including room audio amplification that projectors cannot efficiently manage.
