Mic/Line Input Gain

There are four mono mic/line input channels. Channel controls and processing blocks are identical for each input channel.

See the Optimizing Audio Levels section for more information.

Adjusting Mic/Line Input Gain

Each mono mic/line input channel GAIN block opens a Mic/Line Gain dialog box that provides a single long-throw fader with a gain range of 0 dB to +80 dB and a Level setting text field below the fader. You can adjust the level in 0.1 dB increments.

The 0 dB to +10 dB gain range accommodates a line level signal, typically from a wireless microphone receiver with a line level output. You can resize the Mic/Line Gain dialog box vertically to adjust the view of the fader. The default setting is muted at unity gain (0.0 dB).

To adjust the fader level:

  1. Click the fader handle or click within the fader area.
  2. Adjust the level using any of the following methods:
  3. Click OK to accept the changes and close the dialog box. Click Cancel to close the dialog box without saving any changes.
