Preset SaveA preset may be saved in either Emulate mode or Live mode. Saving a preset in Emulate mode will store that preset in the file that is currently open. That file must then be saved to disk (recommended), and/or pushed to the device after a connection is established. In Live mode, the preset is saved directly to the device. See topics, Preset Preview/Recall, and Preset Overview, for more information. First, create a configuration from which you would like to save a preset(s). In Emulate mode, you are working from the Current Emulation. In Live mode, this is the Current State of the device. To build a preset, you must first mark (highlight) elements to be saved. Highlight the elements in the DSP Configurator to be saved as a preset using the following methods: • Click an element to highlight, then Ctrl + click additional elements. • Click an element to highlight, then Shift + click another element in that row (or column) to select the row (or column). • Click and drag over an area to select the area. You may then Ctrl + click additional elements. • Go to Tools | Presets and select Mark All Items. This will mark all elements within the DSP Configurator, which will save a "full" preset. To save a preset: 1. Highlight the elements to be saved in the preset. 2. Go to Tools | Presets and select Save Preset. 3. A dialog appears informing you that only highlighted elements will be saved in the preset. Click OK. 4. Select a Preset Number in the Save a Preset dialog. The number of the first available preset location appears in this list. Scroll to select a number other than the one displayed, if desired. 5. Type a Preset Name. The Preset Name field displays "unassigned" when the preset location is empty (available). If a preset is not named in the save process, a default name will be assigned (e.g., Preset 01). 6. Click OK. If this procedure is performed in Live mode, the preset is saved directly to the device. In Emulate mode, the preset becomes part of the file that is currently open. In either case, the preset does not become part of the file until it is saved with the file. |
