Mouse Navigation

Mouse navigation within the DSP Configurator program is mostly consistent with standard Windows behavior, and should be intuitive. Using the mouse to load processors or open dialog boxes is covered in Inserting a Processor.

Highlight Multiple Blocks

Click + drag over an area to highlight a block of elements. Starting at any corner of the area to be highlighted, click the left mouse button and drag the cursor over the desired area. Then, release the mouse button. A highlighted area may be cut, copied, and then pasted (see below), or can be saved to a preset (see Preset Save for more information).

Highlight Multiple Areas

Use the Ctrl key to retain previous highlighting while adding additional highlighted areas. Press Ctr + click to highlight an additional element(s), or Ctrl + click + drag to highlight an additional groups of elements. This is mainly used when highligting elements prior to saving as a preset (see Preset Save).

Paste to a Single Location

A highlighted block of elements may be cut or copied, then pasted to a single location. To paste a block of elements:

  1. Click the upper left-most element that matches the upper left-most element of the area that was cut/copied.

  2. Use one of the following methods to paste.

    • Right-click the upper left-most element, then select Paste from the context menu.

    • From the Edit menu, select Paste.

    • Press the Ctrl + v keys.

In Figure 1, below, all of the processor blocks in the top two rows have been highlighted (the upper left-most block is a Filter block), and then cut or copied. In Figure 2, the upper left-most block has been highlighted (also a Filter block), in the area to be pasted to. The first two rows will be pasted to the second two rows.

A highlighted block of elements may be cut or copied, then pasted to multiple locations. To paste a block of elements to multiple locations:

  1. Click the upper left-most element that matches the upper left-most element of the area that was cut/copied.

  2. Press the Ctrl key, then repeat Step 1 for every area that you wish to paste to. (Make sure that the area you are pasting to will not overlap.)

  3. Release the Ctrl key.

  4. Use one of the following methods to paste.

    • From the Edit menu, select Paste.

    • Press the Ctrl + v keys.

In Figure 1, below, all of the processor blocks in the top two rows have been highlighted (the upper left-most block is a Filter block), and then cut or copied. In Figure 2, the upper left-most blocks have been highlighted (also Filter blocks), for each set of two rows to be pasted to. The first two rows will be pasted three times.
