The DSP Configurator provides control of the mixer used to mix Mic/Line
Inputs and Virtual Return Busses to the Line Outputs and Virtual Return
Sends. See section, Mix Matrix Operation
for more information.
The default setting for mic mix-points is 0dB (unity gain). All mix-points
are muted, except for the following input to output relationships, which
are set to unity gain: 1:1; 2:2; 3:3; and 4:4.
Click a mix-point to bring focus. Double-click a mix-point (or focus
and press Enter) to open a dialog with the following components:
• Mono Fader - set
mix levels to the bus. Gain range is −35dB to 25dB. To set the fader position,
click + hold fader handle, then drag to desired level in 1.0dB steps.
Or, click or tab to fader handle, then up/down arrow to desired level
in 1dB steps. Page Up/Page Down increases/decreases level in 5dB steps.
• Level setting text field
- click in or tab to the level readout field. Type a new value (resolution
is in 0.1dB increments), then press Enter, or
Tab to another area.
• Mute - mute the
signal to the bus.
• Mic input level status
- Level or mute status of the Mic Input Gain block is reported here. This
can be used as a reference when setting mix-point levels.
• OK/Cancel - click
OK to accept changes and close the window, and Cancel to exit and cancel
all changes.
Mix-point behavior is as follows:
• No mix information
- a faint gray ball behind the mix-point indicates that the mix-point
contains no mix information (i.e., the mix-point is muted).
• Mix information
- a solid blue "ball" indicates that
the mix-point contains mix information (i.e., the mix-point is unmuted).
• Mouse-over - the
cursor changes to a "Hand" when a mouse-over occurs at a mix-point.
• Single-click -
a single click brings focus, indicated by a green circle around the ball
(either gray or blue, depending on mix status).
• Double-click -
double-click to open the mix-point dialog box.
