Mic/Line Input ControlsThere are six (6) mono mic/line input channels. Channel controls and processing blocks are identical for each input channel. A single mute button provides control of channel muting. Polarity can be set to +/- (positive/negative), with + as the default. Each mono Mic/Line Input Gain block provides a single long-throw fader with a gain range of -18dB to +80dB, adjustable in 0.1dB increments, and a level setting text field below the fader. The gain range is designed to accommodate a line level signal, typically from line level source devices or a wireless microphone receiver with a line level output, or a mic level signal from dynamic or condenser microphones. Phantom power is provided for condenser mics that may require it. A peak meter, located post-fader and post-ADC (analog to digital converter), displays level at -60 to 0dBFS, with a last-peak-level (peak hold) readout below the meter. Mute is located post-fader, pre-meter, and post-ADC. The dialog window can be sized vertically. Clicking the handle or clicking within the fader area brings focus to the fader. Level can be adjusted using any of the following methods: • Grab fader - click + hold fader handle, then drag to desired level in 0.1dB steps. • Up/down arrow or Page Up/Page Down - click or tab to fader handle, then use up/down arrow keys to the desired level in 1dB steps. Page Up/Page Down keys increase/decrease level in 10dB steps. • Level setting text field - click in or tab to the level readout field. Type a new value (resolution is 0.1dB increments, then press Enter, or Tab to another area. An OK button accepts settings and closes the dialog, while the Cancel button rejects changes and closes the dialog. The default setting is unmuted, with no gain (0dB). |
