DSP Configurator Workflow

Operational Modes

The DSP Configurator program has two operational modes, Live and Emulate. The program opens in Emulate mode with a blank configuration. The user can build a configuration and set of presets from the blank screen, or open an existing file that contains the last configuration displayed plus any saved presets. Normal workflow is to:

In Live mode, the program has established a connection and is synched to the device. Live mode can be entered at any time after program launch using either a "push" or a "pull" synchronization. In Live mode, changes made within the DSP Configurator affect the device, changes to the current state of the device (from another control source) are reflected in the DSP Configurator, and presets can be built and saved from the current state and stored to the device. Emulate Mode allows the user to work within the program offline, creating or editing configurations. See Preset Overview for more information.

In Emulate mode, the current configuration is titled "Current Emulation," while in Live mode, the current configuration is titled, "Current State." For information on using the DSP Configurator in Emulate and Live modes, see Emulate vs. Live Mode Operation.

I/O Workspace

The DSP Configurator program opens to the main workspace from which the user may configure and monitor the system. The main workspace contains the following areas available for configuration:

o Audio gain, trim and volume controls

o Audio DSP processors

o Primary mixer matrix to Line Outputs

o Secondary mixer matrix to Virtual Busses

Meter Bridge

The View menu also contains a Meter Bridge selection. The Meter Bridge is useful for monitoring the system during setup or testing.
