APPLICATIONS SOFTWARE ENGINEER - VIDEO STREAMING
This candidate will be responsible for designing and developing streaming video applications and report to the Software Applications Engineering team. The ideal candidate is a proactive team member that can take a product from early concepts through development and release. You will work closely with a highly skilled team building cutting edge software applications with a focus on low level A/V file and live stream manipulation. You will be participating in both early technology research and product development. You will be actively contributing your knowledge of modern software development techniques and technology on diverse platforms and architectures.
Qualified Candidates will have:
* BSCS or MSCS (Or similar degree - transcripts required
* Experience in video and audio decoding and encoding.
* Solid knowledge of streaming media protocols, ie RTP/RTSP/RTCP, HTTP 1.0/1.1, RTMP, Adaptive, SIP
* Experience with video file containers, ie mp4 and mpeg2-ts
* Experience developing audio/video streaming servers or clients
* Solid knowledge of TCP/IP and socket programming and network topologies
* Development experience with building software applications on TCP/UDP on Windows/Linux based platforms
* Solid understanding of object-oriented design and programming principles
* Excellent Communication Skills (written and verbal)
* Strong attention to details, highly organized, computer literate
* Ability to work well in a fast-paced professional office environment
