The Extron XTP II CrossPoint matrix switchers represent a monumental leap forward in engineering and product design. As the first in the AV industry to offer a 50 Gbps digital switching backplane, XTP II enables the design and deployment of AV systems with switching bandwidth that exceeds the data rate required to distribute 4K/60 video with 4:4:4 chroma sampling at 16 bits per color. It is the only AV technology platform that supports uncompromised 4K video while providing headroom to accommodate anticipated future video resolutions and formats.

These modular matrix switchers can be configured with any combination of XTP I/O boards, including the latest XTP II HDMI input and output boards that support HDMI 2.0 and HDCP 2.2 and XTP 4K fiber optic I/O boards for long-haul signal extension to remote endpoints, plus all existing XTP Systems family products. XTP II CrossPoint is the definitive AV industry standard that you can depend on now and in the future to meet the challenges of 4K and beyond.

5o Gbps Ultra Performance Backplane

XTP II CrossPoint matrix switchers are engineered to exceed the bandwidth required by HDMI 2.0 and DisplayPort 1.3 signals. The 50 Gbps digital switching backplane provides more than enough bandwidth to switch 4K/60 at 4:4:4 with 16 bits per color, and anticipates future video standards. Three modular frames are available for 16x16, 32x32, and 64x64 I/O configurations.

HDMI 2.0 Boards with HDCP 2.2

The XTP II HDMI input and output boards offer the highest level of HDMI 2.0 performance, with a full 18 Gbps data rate throughput at each port. These boards are also HDCP 2.2 compliant, ensuring reliable signal extension of encrypted, 4K video content.

4K Switching and Transmission over Fiber

The XTP 4K fiber optic I/O boards, transmitters, and receivers are available in multimode and singlemode versions for signal extension within facilities up to 700 meters (2,297 feeet) over OM4 multimode fiber optic cable and over extreme distances up to 10 km (6.21 miles) when using singlemode cable. The fiber optic scaling receiver also features Extron Vector™ 4K signal processing technology, providing the optimal output resolution for the display.

Complete Integration Platform for Digital AV

XTP II CrossPoint frames along with the latest boards, transmitters and receivers are compatible with all products in the XTP Systems family, enabling complete end-to-end system solutions. The technologies designed into XTP II CrossPoint also provide a wide range of possibilities for future system upgrades to support video standards beyond 4K.
